Maltese Falcon sold US$ 100,000,000 ?

According to an unofficial source, Tom Perkins, the owner of the superyacht Maltese Falcon which is currently lying in Antibes, has sold has vessel.

The same sources confirms that the amount of the deal is around US$ 100,000,000.

In March 2008, the superyacht "Maltese Falcon" launched in 2006 by Perini Navi Istanbul was for sale for €115,000,000.
The superyacht is now for sale for...€70,000,000: yes, that is a big saving !!!

Superyacht Race: Maltese Falcon hit by a 40 foot sloop

Lyons Imaging, a maritime photography agency run by Peter Lyon, just published on their website a picture of the Perini Maltese Falcon hit by a 40 foot sloop near Treasure Island.

Does the heavier vessel has the right-of-way...or is there a tonnage rule?

The 47m Perini Navi sailing superyacht, built in 1990, was gracefully lying at anchor in the bay of Villefranche sur Mer on Sunday 3 August. Following a change of ownership, she had a thourough refit with a totally new interior decoration and a new audi-visual entertainment system both with a new silver painting and a spa pool.

The yacht if offered for charter at US$115,000-125,000 (105,000-119,000 euros) per week approx.
The original owner was Tom Perkins, current owner of the Perini Navi Maltese Falcon.
