The 2009 Antibes yacht Show was very quiet and there were more yacht brokers and yacht beverage and food suppliers than potential buyers...

A rainy 2009 Antibes Yacht Show ?

The Amels "MY Shanti"

The 2009 Antives Yacht Show will be held for the third year in Port Vauban from April 2-5 2009.

According to the dedicated website "Having already doubled its capacity last year, the 2009 event innovates again with new facilities and services, and additional show space with more in-water spots and exhibition stands representing the French and international yachting industry."

However, it seems that the response from the main exhibitors has not been very encouraging.
In 2008, the biggest superyacht brokerage companies were attending the show (Burgess, Camper & Nicholson/Rodriguez Group, Edmiston, YCO, YPI).

In 2009, only Merle Wood & Associates and Ocean Independence will be attendig the show with slightly smaller yachts except the 64m Amels "My Shanti" for sale with Merle Woods & Associates.

At the moment, 23 superyachts over 24 metres have confirmed their attendance although new yachts are being added on a daily basis.
