It seems that an old wooden passenger vessel (L'Hippocampe ?) ran aground before capsizing near the Ile Saint Marguerite, one of the two islands in the bay de Cannes.
Strong winds (up to 110km/hour) hit the region during winter and a trimaran also lost one of her float...
